Salsa is a traditional Mexican sauce. Although most often this dish in appearance resembles a salad. Usually, the sauce is served with tortilla chips. But you can eat salsa in different ways, for example, to make tacos and avocados, add to pasta, serve to meat or fish. 

1. Classic salsa sauce with raw tomatoes

This dish is called pico de gallo.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium tomatoes (ideally hydrant, as they contain less juice and seeds)
  • 1/4 large white onion
  • 1 medium chili (best serrano or jalapeno)
  • 1/2 beam of cilantro
  • 1 lime
  • salt is to taste

Cooking

Peel the tomatoes from the seeds and cut the pulp into small cubes. Onion and seeded pepper cut into even smaller pieces. Add the chopped cilantro, whole lime juice, and salt to the prepared ingredients. Mix the salsa well.

Another traditional version is called salsa Roja.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 medium chili (ideally serrano or jalapeno)
  • 1/4 medium white onion
  • 1/4 beam of cilantro
  • 3/4 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt is to taste

Cooking

Beat the tomatoes, garlic, and pepper, peeled from seeds, with a blender. It is not necessary to purr; let small pieces remain. Finely chop the onion and cilantro. Grease the pan with oil, put the tomato puree, and place it on medium heat. Stirring, bring almost to a boil, and remove from heat. Add the onion, herbs, and salt and stir.

  • 6 medium tomatoes (ideally sys-shaped tomatoes, as they contain less juice and seeds)
  • 1 large chili (best-matched jalapeno)
  • 3 avocados
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 11/2 lime
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 beam of cilantro
  • Salt – to taste
  • ground black pepper – to taste

Cooking

Peel the tomatoes and chili from the seeds. Slice the tomatoes and avocado pulp into small cubes, while the chili and onions are even tinier. Add oil, lime juice, crushed garlic, chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix the salsa well.

Ingredients

  • 1 mango
  • 1/2 medium red onion
  • 1/4 beam of cilantro
  • 1 lime
  • Salt – to taste
  • ground black pepper – to taste

Cooking

Cut the mango pulp and avocado into small cubes and the onions into smaller pieces. Finely chop the cilantro. Add whole lime juice, salt, pepper, and mix well to the prepared ingredients.

  • 2 mangoes
  • 1/4 medium red onion
  • 1 medium cucumber

  • 1/2 beam of cilantro
  • 1 lime
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes
  • Salt – to taste
  • ground black pepper – to taste

Cooking

Divide the mango into small cubes. Onion, cucumber, and seeded bell pepper cut into smaller pieces. Add chopped cilantro to the prepared ingredients. Mix whole lime juice, butter, honey, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Pour in the salsa dressing and stir.
